NEW – Infini Skin tightening
INFINI is a new device which promotes collagen production directly within the skin. It is a Micro-Needle Fractional Radiofrequency (RF) device developed by Lutronic®, a respected leader in the medical aesthetics industry. INFINI has proven to be profoundly effective as a non-invasive treatment option for patients who present with concerns such as skin laxity (sagging, drooping, double chin), wrinkles, pitted acne scarring, and enlarged pores.
Whilst technically it is not a laser, INFINI is powered by high-intensity, focused radiofrequency (RF) energy, which volumizes depleted tissues for firm and smooth skin. The radiofrequency energy is delivered via 49 insulated micro-needles which creates fractionated thermal coagulation at the optimal precision depth within the dermis. The depth of penetration can be adjusted (up to 3.5 mm deep) to maximize treatment outcome. Built-in ComfortFlow™ technology facilitates smoother penetration via sequential needle insertion, which minimizes patient discomfort for a rapid and easy recovery.
What is INFINI used for?
- Skin Tightening and Facial Contouring (non-surgical facelift)
- Skin texture, Fine lines, Crepiness, and Wrinkles
- Skin Laxity such as nasolabial fold, eyelid, double chin and jaw line definition
- Acne Scars & Enlarged Pores
- Inflammatory Acne (mild-moderate) & Acne Scars
- Rejuvenation of the face, neck, décolletage, hands, stomach, and arms.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically three or four treatments are recommended. INFINI treatments are typically spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. Your Dermal Clinician will discuss your treatment goals and personal situation to determine the number of treatments you will need. Many people see results after just one treatment, but having a course of treatments will yield the best possible outcome.
What can I expect during an INFINI treatment?
A typical facial treatment will take 2 hours; this includes preparation, treatment, and post care. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to area to ensure adequate numbing.
What does an INFINI treatment feel like?
With the topical numbing agent used at Erase, most patients find the treatment very comfortable; you will experience a mild prickling or stinging sensation. The INFINI was designed to maximise comfort for the patient which can be attributed to its patented comfortflow needling technology. Compared with other MRF (Microneedle Radio Frequency) devices, many find the INFINI more comfortable.
Glycolic Resurfacing treatments
Glycolic Resurfacing treatments resurface and clarifies skin texture, minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fading the appearance of discoloration to even skin tone, and assists in resolving acne. This resurfacing treatment is designed to be implemented in conjunction with the appropriate Jan Marini Skin Research® home care program to prepare the skin for better results while preventing possible risks.

What are Wrinkles?
Many facial wrinkles occur when we use our muscles to form facial expressions. When we are young our skin springs back to its initial position but as we get older the wrinkles remain.
This is a non surgical procedure where a small amount of natural purified protein is injected into the wrinkle causing muscles to relax. This not only reduces lines and wrinkles, it “softens” the appearance and reduces facial tension.
Only experienced and fully trained medical practitioners carry out these treatments at Erase.
What are Birth Marks?
Birthmarks are vascular malformations in the skin. Most commonly these are known as “port wine stains” or “strawberry birthmarks” (haemangiomas).
Birthmarks can be treated effectively with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) or vascular lasers. The energy targets the colour in the birthmark, causing the blood vessels to shut down.
The Dermal fillers used at Erase are primarily Hyaluronic Acid base, which means that it is naturally digested by the body. They help to restore our skin to its former youthful appearance, as the material is injected into areas where it needs to be plumped up again and made to look firmer. Dermal fillers come in different thicknesses, and in general, the thicker the product, the deeper it is injected into the dermal layer of the skin to help plump out fine to deep lines and wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds (smile line), fill pitted scars or to give plumpness to cheeks, build a nose bridge, reduce neck and cleavage lines, and help the sunken look under the eyes.
Hyaluronic acid dermal filler is a naturally occurring substance found in the spaces between the cells of body tissues in all animals. It has already been used widely in general medicine to help eye surgeons perform cataract operations, and for injection into arthritic joints to aid movement. It is estimated that 30 million patients around the world have been treated with some form of hyaluronic acid.
What is Lip Rejuvenation
Exposure to sunlight, and our lifestyle, cause natural substances such as collagen and hyaluronic acid to diminish over time. These provide the skin with structure and volume so any decrease leads to sagging and wrinkling of the skin. Over time our lips thin and the corners of our mouths can begin to droop. The cupid’s bow flattens out and lips lose their youthful fullness. Vertical lip lines that can cause lipstick bleed may also begin to appear.
Dermal fillers can be used to add volume to your lips, to improve border definition and to create a stronger cupids bow.
What are facial vessels?
Facial Vessles are made up of many blood vessels grouped together in the skin.
Small spider veins often appear on the face and other parts of the body as we age or as a result of an accident or medication.
We treat Facial Vessels using Intense Pulsed Light(IPL™), which is a breakthrough in medical technology for fading spider veins on the face and other parts of the body.
IPL’s unique and flexible design helps your technician customise treatment to your specific needs. Treatment is safe and effective.
Fraxel is available at Erase Aesthetic Services in Malvern
Fraxel Laser is a new technique in skin rejuvenation using fractional photothermolysis. It provides many of the benefits of invasive skin resurfacing (previously performed with traditional CO2 & erbium lasers) with fewer side effects and less “down time”. It uses pin point laser beams that penetrate beneath the skin surface to eliminate old, damaged cells. This treatment stimulates the body’s own natural healing process which replaces damaged skin with fresh, glowing, healthy skin.
The new Fraxel Laser RE: STORE DUAL has the advantage of using two different wavelengths.
The1927nm more effectively targets superficial skin layers achieving accelerated clearance of stubborn pigment such as melasma, post inflammatory pigment, and sun damage, whereas the 1550nm wavelength is used for deeper rejuvenation such as treating wrinkles, scar remodeling & for acne scarring.
Hair Removal Treatment overview
Erase offers a variety of treatment options to successfully eliminate unwanted hair growth for both male and female. The treatment choices we offer to you are safe and effective. Studies have shown that after a series of sessions, approximately 80% of the targeted hair is removed- including ingrown hairs! Any regrowth is finer and lighter. With our Medical IPL system and Pain-free Laser Diode, we are able to treat a range of different skin and hair types.
Treatment Method at Erase
With each treatment, the hair growth will diminish as Laser and IPL specifically target its energy (heat) into the hair follicle. Eventually the continual process will cause the hair follicles to break down, making them incapable of producing more hair. This gradual process makes Laser and Light based hair removal safe and effective in reducing unwanted hair growth permanently.
The number of treatments vary according to the area treated, density of hair, and color or pigment within the hair. As a general guideline an average treatment can take anywhere between 4-10 sessions. The treatment interval is usually 6-8 weeks apart, depending on how quickly it grows back.
It is common to note excessive hair growth in some individual who may have an underlying hormone imbalance. This may cause emotional distress and discomfort to the individual. As a multidisciplinary clinic, we will guide you through a hormonal assay check with one of our specialist physician, who may suggest adjunct therapy of Laser and Oral prescriptive medication to successfully control and reduce excessive hair growth.
What is Hyperhydrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating beyond the normal needs of body temperature control. It is particularly common in the armpits and palms of the hands. The cause is unknown although some medical researchers believe it is related to overactivity of the sympathetic nervous system.
Our medical consultants can advise you on various therapies including:
- Injections under the arms – (this has excellent results lasting up to 6 months).
What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a common chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by facial redness, dilated capillaries, a burning or tingling sensation and sometimes lesions that look like acne (papules).
The common triggers are sun exposure, certain chemicals in alcohol, temperature changes (i.e. sauna, heaters, air conditioning), hot and spicy food, hormonal changes, exercise and emotional factors (i.e. stress, anger, laughter, crying, embarrassment).
There is no cure for rosacea, but the symptoms can be controlled effectively with an individual treatment plan and a Jan Marini Skincare Management program.
The treatment of choice is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light). This treatment destroys unsightly blood vessels so they fade and slowly disappear.
Topical agents with anti-inflammatory / antibacterial effects can keep rosacea well under control even during trigger events. Even daily use of an effective sunscreen / antioxidant can result in significant improvement.
What is Pigmentation
Melanocytes are specialised cells within the epidermis which produce a pigment called melanin. This is distributed throughout the epidermis in small bundles called melanosomes to protect the DNA of skin cells from UV damage. That’s why sun exposure darkens our skin – the more melanocytes in our skin, the easier we tan.
Damage to these cells caused by excessive UV exposure, thermal injury (ie. a burn) or inflammation can result in them behaving abnormally.
Pixel Laser System
This is a type of “fractionated” Erbium laser therapy which stimulates new collagen growth and improves the skin’s texture and tone. It can be used on all skin types, given that a patient is prepared with topical pigment inhibitors and retinoids.

Photo Rejuvenation Treatment at Erase Aesthetic Services in Malvern

Damage to skin from UV radiation can manifest in a variety of skin changes including red blemishes, spider veins and brown spots. Photo rejuvenation is a method widely used for reducing unwanted dyschromia or discouloration in the skin, to give your skin a flawless complexion.
Photo rejuvenation is performed using a Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, and sometimes a combination of Long pulse Laser and Q-switch Laser. A series of treatments results in a significant reduction in fines lines, unwanted pigmentation, redness and an improvement in the texture and tone of the skin. IPL is popularly used in areas such as the face, neck, decollatage, and hands.
What is Photodynamic Therapy?
PhotoDynamic Therapy is a procedure which treats various skin conditions. We call it a “Turbo-Charged Photorejuvenation”. By applying amino-levulinic acid to the skin then exposing it to a particular wavelength of light, abnormal skin cells are destroyed. This makes it particularly effective for treating sun-damage, pre-cancerous skin lesions and acne scarring.
Microdermabrasion Treatment overview at Erase
Microdermabrasion is a stimulating and yet healing treatment to maintain wellbeing of your skin. A microdermabrader forces fine particles over the skin via a handpiece, breaking the physical bond of dead skin cells to relieve sluggish metabolism of the skin. These dead cells (also known as Keratin) bind together like “glue”, and over time, trap dirt and oil in the follicles, making it difficult for it to breathe and regenerate quickly.
When done correctly, microdermabrasion will brighten and freshen-up sun-damaged skin, give a more youthful glow to dull or aging skin, assist in the treatment of acne and follicle congestion, and improve the appearance of scarring and superficial hyperpigmentation.
The microdermabrasion procedure is carried out in our clinic by our fully trained skin therapists. We use the most up-to-date equipment under hygienic controls. A microdermabrasion procedure takes about one hour and includes a complimentary facial treatment incorporating advanced ingredients by Jan Marini Skin Research.
There is little to no downtime following professional microdermabrasion. The skin may be slightly pink afterwards, but any residual discomfort is usually eliminated with our therapeutic facial treatment.
Here are some of the most popular treatments we provide at our medical clinic for the face, chest, and back:
Microdermabrasion with collagen Infusion
Re introducing hyaluronic acid, which is the skin’s natural dermal hydrator along with a plant derived collagen masque infusion for longer, lasting hydration. Great for preparing the skin for that special event.
Micro Acne Treatment
Assisting the skin’s natural healing mechanisms, whilst decongesting the pores. This is a great treatment to start any skin care routine by Jan Marini and great way to naturally eliminate toxin build-up.
Microdermabrasion De stress
Using pressure point technique to de-stress the skin as well as muscular tension, which will allow toxins to drain via the lymphatic system. Very relaxing and uplifting treatment to keep your skin and mind happy.
Active Micro Treatment
For a skin that requires correction, products with active ingredients such as Vitamins A, C & Glycolic acid may be incorporated to tailor individual skin imperfections such as brightening dull complexion, reducing pigmentation & refining enlarged pores.
Recommendations for preparation, treatment and maintenance products can also be made at the time of your appointment.
The way you manage your skin at home is an essential aspect of treatment and will significantly improve your result.
If you would like to know whether microdermabrasion is suitable for you, or if you have any further questions, please feel free to make a time with one of our professional staff for an assessment and advice.
Q-switched Laser Tattoo Removal
The laser that we use for tattoo removal is known as the Q-Switch Nd: YAG. Q-switch technology is currently the safest and the most effective tattoo removal technique available today. Q-switch lasers can shatter tattoo particles in nano-second speed, which can destruct ink particles without damaging the surrounding skin tissue. The difference with Long pulse laser and IPL is that it has a slower shattering speed, thus serve as a useful modality for treating vessels and epidermal pigmentation. There is going to be a new pico-second Q-switch laser, however not enough data is yet available to suggest that the cost and efficacy of this treatment will surpass the current Q-switch technology.
Treatment method of Tattoo removal at Erase
A laser light beam is transmitted onto the skin targeting all dye colors including blue, black, yellow, red, orange, and dermal pigment (such as Nevus of Ota, and Melisma). The average number can hugely vary according to the area (proximal to the heart clears better than distal), type of ink used, depth of the tattoo, and age of the tattoo. Some patient experienced clearance with less than 5 treatments. Please expect a minimum of 8 treatments for single colored tattoos. For multi-colored tattoos, you may expect 10 or more treatments to achieve a substantial clearance. Unfortunately due to un-regulated use of tattoo dyes and mixtures, we can only predict the number of treatments.
All tattoos can effectively be treated, including facial cosmetic tattoos. To find out more call us now to organize a consultation with one of our qualified specialists.
Scars are areas of fibrous tissue which form when the body heals itself following injury. In the skin, surgery or acne can also leave unsightly scars.
Scars are comprised of collagen deposited in a disorganised pattern. Some scars become raised and red (hypertrophic scars) or can proliferate beyond the borders of the original wound (keloid scars).
We’ve seen solid clinical evidence that scars can be managed very effectively with Fraxel laser.

What are Leg Veins?
Leg veins or varicose veins are visible bulging veins most commonly seen in the lower legs.
Human heart pumps blood to legs through arteries. After supplying oxygen and nutrients to the legs, blood returns to the heart through the veins. This upward flow of the blood is caused by the muscles in the legs.
Each time calf and thigh muscles contract while a person is walking, the veins deep inside his leg get squeezed. One-way valves help prevent blood from flowing back down the veins.
Blood from the outer layers of your legs flows into superficial veins. It is then connected to deeper veins inside the leg by perforator veins. When blood doesn’t flow properly from the superficial veins to the deep veins, pressure builds up in the superficial veins.
This result in blood collecting/pooling in the veins, and these are called varicose veins/leg veins.
Causes of leg veins
Though the exact reason why leg veins develop is not fully understood, it is commonly believed that is caused due to weak veins. If a person has weak vein walls, this causes the valves in his veins to expand and separate, thus damaging them.
This damage to the valves prevents blood to travel up the veins as easily as it should and results in the leg veins.
Some other causes of the leg veins are old age, obesity, long standing or sitting, and pregnancy.
Varicose and Spider Veins
The causes of varicose vein and spider veins are not entirely understood, however it is known that a weakness of the valves in the veins allows the backward flow of blood. This causes a build up of pressure within the vessel resulting in bulging or bursting of vessel walls.
Sclerotherapy is a popular method of eliminating varicose veins and spider veins. Small injections of a “thrombolytic” solution cause the veins to shut down so they are no longer obvious through the skin. This is particularly effective for superficial spider veins, which fade gradually over the following weeks.
