Many facial wrinkles occur when we use our muscles to form facial expressions. When we are young our skin springs back to its initial position but as we get older the wrinkles remain.

This is a non surgical procedure where a small amount of natural purified protein is injected into the wrinkle causing muscles to relax. This not only reduces lines and wrinkles, it “softens” the appearance and reduces facial tension.

How long does the treatment take?
Generally this treatment takes about 10 minutes. Discomfort is typically minimal and brief, and no anesthetic is required.

What areas can be treated?
These injections can be used to relax the specific facial muscle that causes upper facial lines (crow’s feet, forehead, and frown lines). Other areas include treating “smoker’s lines” on the upper lip and bands on the neck.

How long will it last?
The effect can last up to 4 months before lines slowly begin to return. If you have repeated treatments the effects tend to last longer.

How long does the treatment take and will it hurt?
The treatment generally takes around 15 minutes and while it stings a little, discomfort is brief. No anaesthetic is required.

Are there any side effects?
The possible side effects are usually temporary and minor.
