Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion mechanically exfoliates the skin & loosens the superficial dead cells, stimulating a “turnover” effect which significantly improves the texture & luminosity of the skin.

Microdermabrasion – A Preparatory step at Erase

Preparation is a necessary step in obtaining healthy functioning skin.  We do this through a gentle treatment process known as Microdermabrasion facial.  It is suitable for all skin types from sensitive to oily and dry skin types.  Microdermabrasion facial is a gentle introductory treatment which also can be used as an ongoing treatment for freshening your skin and improving skin clarity.  It’s a simple exfoliation which helps to promote healthier skin by enhancing penetration of active skincare ingredients. Our facial treatment at Erase is not only relaxing but is also very effective in revealing what your natural skin should look like.   All of our facials and Microdermabrasion treatment is combined with Jan Marini Skin Research, a clinically proven cosmeceutical range which will fast track your results you obtain from our treatments!

Treatment enhancers

Anti Aging Collagen Infusion

A Hyaluronic Acid is applied after abrading your skin with microdermabrasion, which enhances long lasting hydration as well calming the skin from environmental stress.

Micro-Photofacial

At Erase, we offer a combined treatment of microdermabrasion and IPL treatment.  IPL is a photo-rejuvenating treatment which eliminates skin concerns such as visible capillaries, sun damage , and pigmentation.  You will notice that your skin will heal faster when you combine the two treatments together, as it eliminates blocked pores and remove congestion and rough skin texture.

Micro-Acne Treatment

Microdermabrasion will remove impacted debris in the skin follicles which leads to faster lesion clearance.  We use L.E.D. light known as Clearlight afterwards, which helps to reduce the formation of P. Acne bacteria as well as heal breakouts.  This is a great adjunct therapy for patients who do not want the downtime they receive from chemical and fruit acid peels.

Active Micro-Treatment

Using Trans epidermal stimulation known as Transderm, we infuse topical skincare which can target skin imperfections such as pigmentation & uneven skin tone.

Erase also offers an extensive range of fruit acid and chemical peels.  Click here for more information

FAQ

How does Microdermabrasion work?
A microdermabrader forces fine particles over the skin breaking the physical bonds between the dead cells.

How will my skin look afterwards?
You will have a slight pink glow; your skin will feel soft and smooth.  The results can last up to 4 weeks.  With ongoing maintenance every 4-6 weeks, many patients notice a significant improvement in their skin.

How long does the Microdermabrasion procedure take?
The procedure takes approximately 1 hour, and includes a complimentary facial treatment designed individually for your skin.  It is a relaxing and painless procedure.

What are the benefits of Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion will give your skin a more youthful glow, assist in the treatment of acne and follicle congestion and allows enhanced penetration of the active ingredients in your Jan Marini Skincare Management program.

How often should I have a Microdermabrasion?
We usually recommend a treatment every 4-6wks.  Some patients with heavy congestion may require a series of 2-3, fortnightly treatments to stop the vicious cycle.  Once the skin is back to a healthy condition, patients can resume with a 4-6 weekly treatment or other treatments can be introduced.
