Laser Hair Reduction

We offer medical-grade laser hair reduction treatments that may provide long-term reduction of unwanted facial and body hair. Using controlled pulses of laser light, the treatment targets pigment (melanin) within the hair. This energy travels toward the follicle, where it may affect the hair growth cycle and help reduce future hair growth over time.

Laser hair reduction works best when the hair is in the anagen (active growth) phase of the cycle, when it is still attached to the follicle. As not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart may be recommended. Some individuals may notice a reduction in hair growth after several treatments, with changes continuing over time.

Treatments may be suitable for a range of skin types and can be used on various areas of the body, including the face, underarms, bikini area, legs, chest, and back, following clinical assessment. At Erase, laser hair reduction is performed using medical-grade technology by experienced clinicians who assess your skin and hair type to determine appropriate treatment settings.

Potential outcomes may include smoother skin, fewer ingrown hairs, and reduced irritation associated with shaving or waxing. While complete hair removal cannot be guaranteed, many individuals experience a reduction in hair density and regrowth, although results vary between individuals.

A consultation is required prior to treatment to assess suitability and develop a personalised treatment plan based on your skin, hair colour, and treatment area.

  • The laser targets pigment within the hair and delivers heat to the follicle, which may help reduce hair regrowth over time. It is generally more suitable for darker hair and is performed during the active growth (anagen) phase.

  • A series of 6 to 12 treatments spaced approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart may be recommended, depending on the area being treated and individual factors. Maintenance sessions may be recommended to help manage regrowth over time.

  • Laser hair reduction may be performed on a range of areas of the body, including the face, underarms, bikini line, legs, arms, chest, and back, following clinical assessment.

  • Treated hair follicles may be reduced over time, although some regrowth can occur. Many individuals experience a reduction in hair density and regrowth, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to help manage ongoing hair growth.

  • We recommend shaving the treatment area around 24 hours before your session and avoiding waxing, plucking, artificial tanning, or excessive sun exposure in the weeks leading up to treatment.
